Before the 30th passes by, I just wanna show this drawing for Deep. ; A ;
Sorry for meh style of drawing…I can’t really draw. But, I plan to practice during my vacation. :D
Happy Last Day of Prom, Deep.
I hope you’ll like it! :)
Best prom ever. I love this! ^_^
I am going to go do ALL of my chores and then attempt a drawing (as well as I can) as this has inspired me!

I laugh every time I see a brony go “I wish there were more female fans”
Is it really hard for others in the fandom to find females? If so then they must be looking in the wrong place because I’ve seen lots of female bronies.
^^^^^^^^
i’ve seen plenty of female bronies, but they’re still a bit sparse. i mean, i’ve met somewhere around 30 or 40 female bronies, but i’ve met hundreds of male bronies, and it really does feel like there aren’t terribly many female fans. it’s not so much a scarcity issue as it is an issue of ratios.

A large problem for me is the fact that I do not know how to actually conduct myself around the females that I DO meet.

Criticism is often looked on as a negative thing, and it’s understandable. Nobody wants to be told that they did something wrong or poorly, even when they know that they erred. But criticism really doesn’t have to be a negative thing; in fact, when done right, it can be one of the most helpful things any artist, musician, or writer can have.
Right here i should specify that there are multiple kinds of criticism, and each of them must exist for the others to be effective. The first kind is negative criticism, this is the one we fear the most, and is (unfortunately) the one that is abused the most.
negative criticism is any negative thing that you (or another person) might have to say about something. for example; i was browsing Deviantart the other day, and found a message in my inbox from an artist asking for criticism on his painting. many of the previous comments were along the lines of “this doesn’t look good” and “i don’t like it”. these are examples of poor and sloppy negative criticism, often caused by A. not taking the time to find the specific issues you have with a piece, or B. not caring enough about it in the first place (which makes one wonder why you commented at all).
after taking a moment to study the painting myself, i found what was making the other commentators feel like the drawing itself was bad -the issue was simply that the artist had accidentally put the thumb on the wrong side of the hand. after pointing this out, the artist was able to pinpoint the problem, and take the necessary measures to fix it.
the other kinds of criticism are positive criticism and encouraging criticism.
positive criticism is obviously anything good someone has to say about a piece, but encouraging criticism is a bit more difficult to understand.
basically, it involves studying a piece and finding the potential for improvement within the piece. such as; “you’re trying to smooth your shading with a brush, and it doesn’t seem to be working well for you. perhaps you should try using a smudge tool of some sort?”
when giving criticism, it’s important to use constructive criticism, which is less a kind of criticism as it is a way to express criticism.
it employs all three versions of criticism in the best possible way, and will almost always help the person you are critiquing to improve their work.
to give constructive criticism, use what is called “Start, Stop, Continue.” all you have to do is (politely) tell the person you are critiquing what they could start doing, what they should to stop doing, and what they should continue doing. thus giving them specific ways to improve their work, while completely avoiding the sloppy “your stuff sucks” side that criticism can have.
thanks for reading, i hope that i have been able to teach you something through this. if you have any questions please feel free to ask, and i will do my best to answer them.
